Program Study Summary

  1. Introduction

The UNILA Civil Engineering Department was also the inaugural Department of the UNILA Faculty of Engineering which was first established in 1968 with a Decree of the Chairperson of the UNILA Presidium which was held by the Governor of Lampung Province, namely Zainal Abidin Pagar Alam with Decree No. 227/KPTS/Pres/1968 July 5, 1968. However, due to various obstacles, the Department of Civil Engineering could not continue its existence and with Decree No. 101/B-/11/72, the Civil Engineering Department no longer accepts new students and a number of students are transferred to other faculties within UNILA.

On January 13, 1978 a committee for the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering was formed which was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ir. Sitanala Arsyad, and deputy chairman Ir. Sigit Raharjo (Head of Lampung Prov PU TK.I Service). The realization of the formation of the Faculty of Engineering was in the form of a Decree of the Chancellor of UNILA No. 03/KPTS/p/1979 January 8, 1979 with the name of the Faculty of Civil Engineering (Preparatory) Universitas Lampung.

On September 7, 1982 the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Lampung received recognition as outlined in the Republic of Indonesia Presidential Decree No. 43 of 1982 concerning the Organizational Structure of the University under the name of the Faculty of Non-Degree Technology (FNGT). Then the Chancellor’s Decree No. 93/KPTS/R/1982 dated November 23, 1982, regarding the implementation of the D3 Program at the Faculty of Non-Technology Degrees (FNGT) was issued.

On June 1, 1991, the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 035/KPTS/R/1991 concerning the Establishment of the Civil Engineering Undergraduate Program, so that at that time the Faculty of Engineering UNILA was managing D3 and S1 programs. On July 6, 1991, UNILA Chancellor’s Decree No. 08/KPTS/R/1991 which stated that the Faculty of Non-Degree Technology (FNGT) changed to the Faculty of Engineering

On October 22, 1993, the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 0385/D/1993 concerning the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering and its organization at the Universitas Lampung, thus the Civil Engineering Undergraduate Study Program was started (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1atQJbZ7oIjGzf7empxBCzgZA87VGndSi/view?usp=sharing).

2. Vision and Mission

2.1. Vision

In 2025, the Civil Engineering Study Program will become a leading program at the national and international levels in the sustainable development of science and technology through education, research and community service so that graduates are creative and productive.

2.2. Mission

Carrying out undergraduate civil engineering accredited nationally and internationally. Carrying out quality research and community service activities based on good civil engineering practices that pay attention to sustainable buildings in the humid tropics. Developing and disseminate sustainable civil engineering knowledge and practices at the national, regional and international levels. Contributing to the development of the industrial revolution 4.0 which is oriented towards sustainable civil building technology.
